CC-Switch One-Click Setup Guide (Recommended for Beginners)
Top pick for beginners!
CC-Switch is a one-click configuration tool designed specifically for users with no prior experience — no manual config-file editing needed. Operate it through a graphical interface and switch channels in under twenty seconds.
Configuration Steps
1. Download and install CC-Switch
- Windows: go to the CC-Switch GitHub Releases page to download the
.msiinstaller - macOS (Homebrew):
brew tap farion1231/ccswitch
brew install --cask cc-switch- Linux: download the
.debpackage from the Releases page and install it
Complete the installation locally after downloading.
2. Open the app and choose the CLI to configure
Launch CC-Switch, select the tool you want to configure in the main interface (such as Claude Code or Codex), then click "Add Provider" to configure it.
3. Fill in the provider information
- Provider name: enter
NextHub - Request URL: for Claude Code enter
https://api.nexthub.cc; for Codex enterhttps://api.nexthub.cc/v1 - API format: configure according to the CLI type you selected
- API Key: enter the key you generated in the console
Should the Request URL Include /v1?
Claude Code uses the Anthropic protocol and automatically appends /v1/messages to the URL, so the bare domain is sufficient; Codex uses the OpenAI Responses protocol (/v1/responses), so the request URL must include /v1.
When you're done, click the "Add" button in the bottom-right corner to save the configuration.
4. Confirm the channel is active
Return to the main interface, check the currently active channel, and make sure it has switched to the NextHub channel you just configured.
5. Skip the Claude Code first-install confirmation (optional)
Click the "Settings" button in the main interface, open the general settings page, find "Skip Claude Code first-install confirmation", and make sure this option is enabled.
6. Verify from the terminal
Open a terminal, run claude or codex to have a quick conversation, and check that the configuration works. If you get a reply, the setup succeeded 🎉
claudeClaude Desktop Too
CC-Switch ships with a Claude Desktop panel that supports one-click import of providers already set up in Claude Code. After switching, remember to restart Claude Desktop completely. For detailed steps, see the Claude Desktop Configuration Guide.
